WHAT IS FRESH FOOD ALTERNATIVES?
The quality of food, *and their sources*, that you provide for your pet/s/ are absolutely essential to their livelihood and physical well being. It is the exact same principle as what you feed yourself and your family. If you provide convenient fast foods all the time, you are overloading a healthy, balanced system with high fats, poor protein sources and high sodium options all to save time and money; Is it worth it in the end?
I decided to take back the *power of choice* and know even the most minute details of what is in my pets food and where the food sources come from so I can be confident in the care of my fuzzy loved ones. That is how I developed Fresh Food Alternatives. I purchase all locally sourced organic, no-hormone, cage-free, pesticide-free, preservative-free, protein, vegetable & fruit sources from local farmers through specialty stores such as PCC and organic butchers or from local farmers markets for the best rates.
The meat/vegetable and fruit ratios are set by a number of variables, including those set by Veterinarians, your pets activity level, your pets breed and your pets overall health. There are very specific formulas I use to fine tune the amount of each source. Please note * ALL DOGS AND CATS SHOULD BE ON A HIGH QUALITY VITAMIN AND MINERAL DAILY TAB, as you would provide for yourself and your kids, to insure maximum health.
Once a formula has been set for your pet, a ROTATING MENU will be established exclusively for you and your pet. ** All dogs and cats require a variety of quality food sources to help them maintain optimum health. Animals in the wild are opportunistic eaters and obtain a wide variety of protein, vitamin and mineral sources based on what they happen to prey upon, though this is not always ideal, we as loving care givers can provide the best possible rotating sources.
TO ENROLL IN THE ROTATING MENU DELIVERY SERVICE
Every Friday evening I will send out the weekly menu- with *local prices*per lb of each protein source, vegetable source, fruit source and if applicable, grain source. You simply respond to the menu by checking off the desired protein source, fruit source, vegetable source, fatty acid source and a variety of simple additives, explained clearly on the menu.
ON THE MONDAY following the Friday Menu Disbursement you will receive your RAW, individually packaged and clearly marked protein, vegetable/fruit/grain supplement source, with an easy to follow recipe card that helps you feed and mix your raw food alternatives per meal. (IF YOU FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE FEEDING FULLY RAW PROTEIN SOURCES, *GENTLY* COOK THE PROTEIN SOURCE) and add the appropriate amount of pureed veggies, fruits, grains and fresh food supplement sources according to the instructions included in you order. If you have 2 pets, the instructions will more than likely be different as all pets needs are different.
*Refrigerate/Freeze all individual packaged containers immediately after use *. A weeks worth of food will be delivered to your door in a styrofoam container. Please save the styrofoam container and all the individual containers for your pet, simply wash all contents and place back into the styrofoam container and leave it out for me to come pick up and drop off your next weeks order. That way all products can be recycled and are eco-friendly.
All foods must be paid for at the time of delivery. You will be invoiced by Sunday evening for your order to be delivered on Monday.
***ROTATING MENU CLIENTS ARE SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY AND MAY BE PLACED ON A WAITING LIST*-thank you for your patience on this, as I prefer to stay small and exclusive. If the public response is stronger than anticipated over time, re-evaluation of my client base will be reassessed and changes to expand will be made.
